Who's up for a punishing race

I'm sitting around bored and was wondering if anyone has ever organized a downriver race from chili bar to salmon falls. I was looking at the American river festival website and I was thinking that the downriver race was too short. I think for a longer more brutal race it could go from the bridge in coloma to the bridge at salmon falls. But, if we were to do that, then what the hell, race from the bridge at chili bar to the bridge at Salmon. Think how brutal that race would be. The pain, the misery, ohh but the glory the winner would achieve. There would be only 2 classes, male and female. None of this short boat, long boat, jr crap. Just a awful miserable paddle for 25+miles. We could call it "The American River Pain Paddle" or "The Race for Pain". Either way, I think that a race on the whole South Fork might just be considered one of the more tougher races in the world.

Also, we should race on the busiest rafting day during the summer. Longboats and rafts fighting for space. Epic carnage for the video, a perfect opportunity for sponsers to plaster stickers on boats. Who's with me? Long live "the race for pain".
