75 Racers showed up for the 10th Annual Green Race. Possibly 500 spectators hiked in to watch. This is the best showing ever.

Thank you everybody but I would like to thank Al Gregory for getting us the water. It was a nice guarantee. I would also like to thank Liquidlogic and Astral Buoyancy for the awesome free food and party at Liquidlogic.

Dixie Marree, Christie Dobson, Jessie Rice and Molly I wanna thank you BIG BIG for the time keeping. Let’s not forget a huge thank you to the elusive Todd Grafe for the beautiful piece of Glass that we all crave so much.
Here are some stats, results to follow.
• Tommy Hilleke won the 10th Annual Green River Narrows Race with a new record of 4:34, 1st place.

Four and a half minutes, I hope you guys don't get winded.

You want a race, come out for Cherry Creek next year. 40 minutes :). Oh, the East Coasters are dropping like flies...

Default Swimming for sure!

If the green race crew came to Cherry Creek Race, their would certainly be a good deal of swimming!

Then Charlie would whoop everybodies ass and then the ECers would be beholding to some Californian, oh the nightmare...but Tommy is from Colorado now so what the hell.

2006 CCR biggest ever?

cc racer didn't mean UCC, just CC. In my opinion, a 4 minute race is more difficult than a 40 minute race - going lactic in hard water sucks.

Would there be any interest in an informal Cali Creek series next year? eg. Brush Creek, S Silver, Yuba, CC. Could be fun...

I think that's a great idea.... I'd love to see Chuck's Race held again on the S Yuba.

Default 49 to bridge port

I believe they raced from the put in down. Some people ran the portage (Tao) right below the put in, others walked it but i believe it was included in the race course.
By the way someone was talking to me telling me there are two portages on this run but I only recall the one at the top. Where mighten they be speaking of?

check it out I put my name on the post too. but I believe you guys bitch to much. It is the internet. People have always been more willing to tear down others on this medium. Its like riding in the car (you cali people should know alot about road rage) if some one cuts off another in a car it is an easy and all to common automatic response for some on to get angry and give the ol' california howdy; now if this happened on the side walk with the same two people would their response be the same if they were not safely (I use this word cautiously as someone here was just shot due to road rage) encapsilated in their vehicle? What is interesting though is it does not swing the other direction. It does not seem that people feel more willing to open up and share there positive emotions by being able to hid ebehind anonyminity. I am not sure if that makes sense but it would be like someone who would feel he is to masculine to share his emaotions in person why then does the veil of anonyminity not cause them to share this, rather the writter tends to slip toward the more negative side of destruction of others.

And for the record the only time i don't post my mname is when i'm bragging on myself. I figure if you toot your horn to loud the river god s may take notice an dstrike you down.
Occasionally I check this page while at work and its getting boring- i don't come here to read about the internet or proper forum protocall. let's talk about boating. not why everyone is hating on YGP or being negative on boof.com or hating on class II boaters. I have gone far too of topic...

that's all i have to say about that

now where's Randolph I need hom to run a spelling and grammer check on my post.

49 to B has one portage about a quarter mile below the put in. The race starts another half mile downstream at the gauge.
