This posting has been kind of drifting towards the bottom and no one has had much to say about it. I wanted to make sure it stayed in people's minds. American Whitewater does a TON for Californian boaters and for boaters all of the country. They do need our support to be effective though. I've personally benefited on several occassions from American Whitewaters efforts and I know you all have too. Providing flows on the North Fork of the Feather here and securing access to the Alberton Gorge in Missoula are the 2 biggest standouts for me and I surely am grateful.

I hope that if folks are able to attend the benefit either because of timing or funding that you still take this as a reminder to support AW. Are you a member? If not kick down and send them $35 and support the rivers you love and get yourself a subscription to their Mag. If you are a member try to get a friend to join. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions on how to join AW.

If you can make the benefit, sweet! I've heard it should be a cool event from those putting it together. Make sure you RSVP to the link referred to in the original posting or to one of the hosts. See you there!

This is a very important time for Californian boaters and rivers there are numerous relicensing agreements being negotiated right now. Your support of AW now will make a huge difference in the future of Californian whitewater.
    See you on the river!
