    Default Problem log in Summit

Had a great day on Summit today--put on @ 18 inches at noon, up to 22 by 5:00--that equated to around 600-700 on the online dreamflows gauge.

ANYWAY, a little while after the Rainbow Lodge / Tea Cups rapid is a class 3 rapid where the river spilts around a huge cube-shaped rock (like the size of a large shed). Most of the flow goes left of the rock, which is where everyone runs- but most of the left 1/2 of the river is blocked by a BIG tree about 30 feet below that rock. Keep your eyes open--but it was a GREAT day today!

Exactly Stephen... keep you eyes peeled b/c the aforementioned log was not there yesterday. Today and I'm sure the next few days the river will come up dramatically in the evening and the wood will shift again. We put on yesterday at 14 in and came back and it was 22 in. Today we put on at 20 in and when we arrived back at the put in it was up to 27 inches and coming up quick.

More on levels--was there last night and it was rose from 33-36 on the gauge. That equated to around 1000-1200 on the Dreamflows gauge. I'm trying to get a handle on how the online gauge correlates to the bridge gauge so it's easier for us to know what to expect. Seems like 600 was a good medium level, 1,000 would have been stomping high, and I'd guess that 400 would be bare-bones.
    Have fun!
