California Canoe & Kayak is proud to offer two 1-day clinics with Jackson Kayak Creek Team member Phil Boyer. Learn the techniques and mindset to start running harder whitewater. For solid class III and IV kayakers seeking the skills and expertise to run more challenging rivers, and have more confidence and fun on your favorite runs.
Prerequisites: CCK's River Running class or Class III experience and a solid river roll are required to take this class.

Phil, a member of Jackson kayak creeking team, has spent the last 20 years kayaking, rafting and filming some of the most difficult and remote rivers of the world. When he is not guiding Grand Canyon Trips, he spends his time exploring rivers in Africa, Chile, Costa Rica, Japan, mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Turkey and his home turf in california's Sierra Nevada Mountains. Day One - Introduction - Saturday, April 5: Focus on fundamental moves
Day Two- Challenge - Sunday, April 6: Focus on more challenging moves
To maximize instructor/student ratio, class size is limited. Enroll in Day One, Day Two or both. We recommend participating in both days for more comprehensive skill progression.
