Out of state paddler needs buddies April 22nd

Hello California!

I'm down from Canada and in SF the week of April 16 - 20 for work and am hoping to get a paddle in the following Sunday.

My thoughts are to rent some gear from CalKayak the Saturday, and head out to Yosemite that evening and would love to make arrangements with any individual or group who would be up for running anything class III (still early in the season!) on the Sunday.

If Yosemite isn't the best area to RV, I am also flexible to head out in any direction from SF.

Wow - 71 views and no takers! I guess California paddlers plan ahead about as well as Canadian ones! I'll repost a little closer to the date I'm there!

I'm sure there will be several of us south-central CA boaters paddling that weekend, just not sure which days and were. I'll keep you posted.

if you can hit the merced, that makes the yosemite trip worth it. all sorts of different runs on it. post again that week, and if we are heading up, you can come along! =)

Sweet - thanks Glenn and Matt. I'll likely be renting a car (presumably with a roofrack) and heading out Saturday afternoon, planning to stay at the Yosemite Bug. I'd likely have room for one or two others if anyone needs a ride.Any other recommendations for accommodation would also be welcome (e.g. closer to put ins, etc?).

I'll be staying at the Yosemite Bug Saturday night and would like to hook up with some paddlers for Sunday. I'll be driving out from SF sometime on Saturday if anyone is looking for a ride out, or can meet at the put-in anytime Sunday if someone tells me where to find it!
