Clarkage--I hear there's a better spot nearby that's working good. Juan was a pleasant diversion when I was there @ 2800, you could carve it up while surfing, hit some mild blunts, and throw big loops, but it was hard to stick your stern in the paltry return flow.
Hartje - you speaking of barking dog? hope the grand was sick... Colo was lovely.

I didn't:(
See you on the river!
I was there between about noon and 2:30 pm. It felt more like 2500 cfs. CDEC had it at 2100 cfs.
The wave seem kinda truncated - about three feet wide section of pile in the center (a short and soft pile on the inside surfer left) and a wide green wave on surfer right. If I kept it REAL flat I could spin. Could not nail a loop on the wave (lack of practice) and couldn't retain on a cartwheel. Lots of nice front carving, and a couple of blunts to the left.
I noticed that the tail race below seems lower. The concrete at the bottom of the current along the wall on river right (where the guys with water guns hang out) are above water. Could the high water of last winter have moved enough cobbles in the river down stream so that the water level dropped in the pool behind the hole? I looked at it long and hard, but you better take a look, Greg. You have a better eye than I do.
