Tiger Creek 2012 Rec Flows

The forecasted water year for the Mokelumne watershed is Dry.

PG&E will be releasing a minimum of 700 cfs for recreational flows on Tiger Creek at M59 (gauge below Tiger Creek Afterbay) the following weekends:

May 19 & 20
May 26, 27 & 28
June 2 & 3
June 9 & 10

Due to the favorable conditions during CD/Dry years for FYLF (foothill yellow legged frog) there will be no release for Devil's Nose.

If you do this run on any of the listed dates - PLEASE LOOK FOR THE BLM RANGER to fill out the WHITEWATER SURVEY. Keep in mind we need these survey's to document use during rec flow releases. I'll be bumping this post later to remind folks.

Tiger Creek flows start this weekend May 19 & 20.

According to our PG&E hydrologist the bump in the gauge is not expected to last through the weekend as PG&E is dealing with the tail end of the run off and just finishing putting flows through the TC canal so anticipate flows at M59 to drop between 700 and 1000 cfs. (Of course the usual caveat applies that this is an estimation based on the current situation and is subject to change.)

Also, if you run it this weekend - kindly, search out the BLM ranger at the end of your run to fill out the rec survey.

I was going to run it tomorrow. Dreamflows show 1500 right now, is that what is expected tomorrow?
