Again, thank you all for coming down and being present for another good time. I'm really glad all the time trial racers had a safe run and an extra thanks to all those friends who stationed themselves to provide safety. Obviously, the USFS is not too concerned because they left us unmolested. I think having this race / celebration one weekend every summer is a great way to make new friends and to see old ones. And the setting is all we could ask for.
I want to remind everyone, if I somehow I forgot while announcing the results Saturday afternoon, that it would it not be the same with out teaming up with my friend Barry Huesby. This whole gig is always fun and a lot easier because I get to coordinate it with Barry. As usual, Barry stepped up by issuing this year's "rallying call" for the race, making sure we had great music and he puckered up by providing an additional keg.
Also, Norwood Scott, a long time friend and racer brought an additional keg of IPA, (which was the end of most of us...thanks dude). Most importantly, thanks to all who came down and participated and helped keep the theme alive for one more year. It always comes together with out too much hassle and is a great example of un-organized fun.
I sincerely hope we all see each other again next summer at about the same time.
Cheers!
