does anyone know if there was any new wood in the South Fork Merced this year?

As for new I'm not sure, but there was some wood in some places that there was none last year. And there where other places that had wood last year but not this year. All but one were of no issue. The latter was fairly early on in the run where you would typically enter left but there were 2 or more logs blocking the way. At high flows you could paddle around on the right (read: scrape and possibly pin) but at lower flow you would most likely just walk.

And by the time it comes back up all the wood in there this year will have moved
