Just wanted to say hi. Any IKers on the board? I'm out of Seattle, run IKs, and boat in BC, ID, OR, WA, UT, AZ ... looking forward to getting on some creek runs and wilderness multiday runs in CA over the next few seasons.

Anyway, hoping this board is willing to tolerate an IKer! ;-)

WARNING: my link includes trip reports, posted for those interested in learning about new runs. Can I post a disclaimer right away that I'm not making any money on it and not trying to explot anything? I just like shots of rivers ... and try to share mine since so many share theirs and I like to reciprocate ...

Anyway, SYOTR!

Tolerate an IKer? I'm glad I haven't yet come across that sort of divisiveness in our kayaking community. We all want the same thing, to enjoy and protect rivers. The more of us there are, hardshell or inflatable, the more voice we'll have when they try to build the next dam.

Enjoyed the photos on your site!

Thanks Bob ;-)

That's my attitude too. California seems to have an open cross-craft community which is really great. Portland has that too, but Seattle really doesn't. Wonder why that is...

Seattle doesn't HAVE a boating community at all, much less a cross-dressing community like you're talking about. And we like it that way.

You're a marked man now.

A marked man now, eh? are people gonna be nudging my stern at the lip on the next big drop I run? "How'd he get that left angle?"

Are you really in Sea-Tac? I'm just north of southcenter ... when we get some water here maybe we can meet up. Can't wait till Fall in the Wall comes in again ...

I wish we had something goin like Paddler's Pint in PDX. It'd be nice to meet folks off the water, maybe recognize a few of the regulars without their boat/pfd markings.
