We have a permit for the forks for this Weekend and it looks like we missed good flows by one week. We have rafts going along so I am very concerned.
Most things that I have read say the rafting low water cut off is 800cfs. Has anyone have experience running it lower? Will it be hell with a raft?

I have run it at about 1100 in a raft and a cataraft. It was still great at that flow, but much below that and it would not have been. It will depend on the size of your rafts. I would not want to go in there with 14' boats at 800 cfs, but with 8' or 10' boats, it could still a lot of fun.

Forks at 800 - great fun in a kayak, possible in a raft...

Last year we ran the Forks in IKs
at 450 cfs, and this year at 320
(on the Kernville gage, the actual
flow certainly feels higher).
Seems to me a creek boat would be
fine at the 320 flow, although I'm
not qualified to say for sure.
We hiked out at the halfway point,
had steak dinner in Kernville, and
returned to our boats the next day.
Progress is a bit slow at low flow,
but there's plenty of time to watch
the scenery.
All rapids channelize well except
Upper Freeman. We portaged Vortex
at both flows, but considered it
at 320. Carson seemed clean, but
shallow rocks have been reported.
