View Full Version : is south silver in yet...still too high? Anonymous 06-28-2005, 06:39 PM anyone been up there? Anonymous 06-29-2005, 07:54 AM its on the high side of good Anonymous 06-29-2005, 11:53 AM saw it on monday and i'd agree that some would do it but most of us would wait a little bit longer how is that for vague? Anonymous 07-01-2005, 10:49 AM S. Silver is flowing near perfect now. We were in there on the 29th and it was great. Anonymous 07-01-2005, 11:07 AM we did it a couple days ago and it was great. I'd say it's pretty ideal right now if you have done the run before or are a solid paddler. some of the rapids are better, the first drop going into the tea-cups is easier to get far left on and off-ramp is a little softer. There is a new log in the drop right below ottobahn. Traditionally it was a boof off a 5 footer and then you went by a undercut rock on your left side. Well, there is a log blocking the entrance now. that was the only difference i saw. SandM 07-02-2005, 08:27 AM It's good to go, water wise. High side of good should be perfect real soon. "let's get real, gone."-Elvis speicher 07-05-2005, 10:20 AM Just to add to the log shifting talk that Charlie mentioned...I noticed that the logs below the portage after Off Ramp but above Plastic Surgery have flushed so a middle section in there is runnable now and at least 2 other logs have cleared out...one a bit further down on the approach to Plastic Surgery that was sort of a duck and cover scramble deal and then another big sucker...the one just below plastic Surgery that you used to duck and run right on. Anyway just mentioning it because I know some folks continue on down after the final slide section. That section has seen some pins and broaches and now you should be on the lookout for a bunch more wood if you decide to run it. After the sweet sweet slides I'll take a hike! |
