Anyone been down there lately? Just wondering if the dreaflow estimates are accurate or way off.

the Dreamflows estimates have been off all season. flow was 1600+ as of Sat and seemed to be dropping slightly on Sunday but still big & pushy. snowpack was still 200% of normal for June 1 for a bunch of basins, esp as you head south

i know of two very solid groups that chose to hike out do to high flows in the last week. obviously some folks would feel comfortable at these flows but most would not

need it be said the dreamflows estimate is off (the flow is much higher than dreamflows says it is)

We just did the run sunday-monday. The flow seemed about optimal, juicy, padded and some big holes; i would call it "medium-high," though i've never done the run before. I'm guessing it will come up to be high again with warmer weather though...

one thing worth mentioning about the run, for anyone considering going
down this weekend (maybe it's too high anyway)...there's a bad toiletbowl/sieve thing in the first 5 or so miles (it's after mile 4 i think, but certainly well before the superslide; it's right above an excellent grassy meadow campsite on river left, in a flattish stretch). it cannot be seen from above, is on river right; there is a medium-sized eddy above it on river right. don't bomb everything!

Well considering Briceburg is 3696 and Pohono is 2530 that would leave about 1166 from other tribs and the south fork. I'd say it's probably optimal at the moment.
