9 Days till Spring Break! Anyone have any plans to paddle from the 10th-16th? I usually leave Humboldt and head east towards Shasta/Redding then down through the Sierra's then back up for the Surf Comp in Santa Cruz that last weekend.

Let me know if you'll be free to paddle.

Hell Yes!

As long as the water is flowing around the Quincy area, I'm going to be hangin out there and paddling every day for pretty much the whole spring break. Mostly the NF Feather drainage (ie. Spanish cr, Indian cr, NF feather) and hopefully some Pauley and Lavezzola action if its in.

Jordan, look me up when you are in town. I've been doing a bit of cold-weather kayaking lately. Lobin at 500cfs fish-flow, Spanish Creek a couple of times.

But we've received an epic amount of snow over the last few days, so it's skiing at Tahoe tomorrow, then back country skiing Spanish Peak on friday. Yee-haw :)

The Feather is an idea for sure, but the snow level is pretty low so I'm not sure about access. Also I'm not sure if you've checked out Indian Creek or not but that shit is stout for sure. I'd be down to get on it but it's not a walk in the park from what I've seen from the road. The last mile and 1/2 above the falls is full-on. I'd be down to hit up a Bald/Devils mutiday if it's in and we can get a crew to rally.

Jim, I'll definately give you a call if and when I come to Quincy. I'll probably only be coming out there if it gets really warm and the snow starts melting, or if it starts raining, so keep me updated on the conditions.
Paul, I'll probably be paddling the MF with you in another year or so (i've only been paddling for a year and a half), and for now I'll stick to the lower run on Indian Creek. But if you're passing through the area and you want to paddle some class IV, hit me up.

also Paul, I'm trying to get up to the Salmon or Smith this weekend to do some IV-IV+ if you're interested.

Hey Jordan,

I'm teaching roll session @ the ACP on Sunday from 8-noon so I can only paddle on Saturday. I'm thinking of doing the upper and lower sections of Hayfork in a day if I can get someone else w/ a vehicle to rally. Not sure if the roads will be snowed in or not....anyone have any ideas on access for this?
