Hey everyone, I'm meeting up w/ some friends to do Deer Creek. However, they're looking to only do the lower so if anyone wants to paddle the upper on Friday let me know, you're more than welcome to join us for the lower as well.

Got off Deer yesterday, ran the upper 18 miles including 2 miles above potatoe and found it to be class IV w/ maybe a V. Portaged Deer Creek Falls in the upper, could be run but maybe shallow. We made one other non-wood portage in the upper around the fish ladder.

We then camped under the bridge at ponderosa and ran the lower 23 miles in 5 hours the next day w/ no portages except one wood portage which is river-wide.

All in all we decided w/ an early start and strong crew the entire 43 miles could be done in one day w/ minimal scouting and only 1 portage.
