I looks like Sespe might be at a good flow next weekend. Anyone up for getting on it?

I have not ran sespe before so I would prefer the flows to be on the low end.

I would be into going with flows anywhere from 150cfs to 600cfs; and if there isnt bad weather in the forcast.

I have a very flexible schedual this time of the year so I am pretty open.

yea, i am only free for a sat sun run... not sure if it can be done in a full day.. if it does look good i would be game.. would be nice to have someone with that kinda knew the run. but.. i am into a good adventure. i am gonna try to find a car pool to the kern for the weekend, but would be willing to drop it a moments notice if the sespe looked real good, you had any other takers for the weekend?

From everything I have heard it is a long 3 day trip; possibly 4 day.

If you only have a day you might consider doing Middle Piru from Frenchmans Flat to Lake Piru. Leave a car at the Lake Piru marina for the shuttle. The flow is around 170cfs right now. Not a bad flow for a first trip down.

There is a great write up on Piru found here www.sierraphotography.com/creeking/Piru02.htm

As well as several other Southern California Creeks

if it's at 1700 cfs now, wow, isn't that high, at least according to teh writeup you posted.

My father is in town visiting for the weekend so it's unlikely I'll be free to paddle unfortunately. I scouted teh arroyo seco near Pasadena again yesterday and at 2.5 ft on the USGS gauge it was good to go, though with some debris problems every now and then. But I had to go to work so....

Middle Piru is around 550cfs right now. Good flow for that section.
