Heading up through California the beginning of April and looking to do some paddling. I am travelling from New Brunswick, and was hoping to hook up with any paddlers for some paddling. Any suggestions on rivers that should be done, and contacts would be great. thanks Laurie Brown

what class are you boating? ill assume 3+-4+. i would hit stuff on the north fork of the american, possibly chamberlin and giant gap. maybe go over to the yuba either south or north forks...everything is good there. if your lucky you could catch lavezolla and pauley creeks (tribs of n.yuba). anything on the feather, upper sac, merced, the "t" etc....these are just a small sample of the great runs possible in spring. the holbek/stanley ca. whitewater guide is worth the money if your staying for an extended trip or plan on returning. also, check out the tuthill california creekin website.

Thanks for the info, I will check out the book. I am running class 4-5, but mostly looking for a few classic runs, not any serious creeks as I did not bring my creek boat. Also has anyone ever been up to the whitewater park in Reno, and is it worth the trip. Thanks
