Rain is supposed to be steady through Friday. Flows will probably be maxed on all sections of the Eel. I'm game for a run (Thurs, Fri) if water permits. Let me know.

Any idea what the flow is on this section? I don't think it has much to do with the release that is shown in the Press. Does it come up fast and then go down fast? What's the best way to find out because I ran it once and it was a lot of fun.

The flow is Eel at Leggett. Looks like 4400 and dropping which for me is good. I'm not into it at flood.

Let's Paddle!
If you want to do this run or something else, email me or call Alexandra. We are going to paddle tomorrow 12/21...something. S. EEl is the goal, but time and water will tell. It will be an early start, so get ahold of one of us ASAP.

did you run tenmile creek? if yes, are the reports of trees growing in the upper section true. ive heard the run is easy IV at that flow, what did you think? i wanted to do it this weekend but only had a bike shuttle. did pillsbury,,,great run.
hey guys,
10 mile is still good to go, we ended up putting in along the freeway as soon as you can see the creek or river whatever you want to call it. 10 mile itself was pretty mellow but as soon as it hit the SF the run went off. Sweet fun holes and waves, we had about 5500 cfs and it was a fun but not too pushy flow. There are still some pretty mackin' holes at that flow though so beware! Most of the upper section on 10 mile is manky bank willow fest but it cleans up. We had a perfect day of sun only rained for 2 minutes while on the water.
Now for take-out. We tried to take out @ the lodge w/o paying but as soon as we pulled up the bank 2 dogs ran up to us. Both are friendly, they just bark a lot. The woman wanted $10 a person or $25 for the car, which we didn't even park there. So after so discussion Alex talked us into going down river farther and looking for another takeout. Not wanting to spend the night on the river we went but w/ extreme reservation. Good news though, only .25-.50 mile below the taxing take out is a large "gravel" field. It's after the large waterfall that comes off the mountain on river right. You'll see a some powerlines and a hill w/ a small road leading up to a house. It's some sort of camp or something so now one's there. Follow the road up past the house. As you come up the house there is a junction turn left and go past the house and up the hill. Walk past the field w/ weird cult flags and stay to the right on the main road. Ignore the small road coming in on the left. This road leads right to 101 and you can hitch from the freeway.
Hope this helps out if you're lookin to do 10 Mile.
Paul
